Marshmallow adds a light, airy sweetness to many desserts. It's a key ingredient in s’mores, where it's toasted and paired with chocolate and graham crackers. It enhances rocky road ice cream, combining chewy marshmallows with nuts and chocolate. Rice Krispies treats rely on its gooey texture for binding, while fudge benefits from its creamy consistency. Marshmallow also tops hot chocolate, fills cakes and cupcakes, and can even be whipped into fluff for frostings and dips.
The LorAnn Super Strength Flavors are concentrated flavors, also known as candy oils or candy flavors. These flavors contain no vegetable oils. The term candy oil refers to a type of flavor that is concentrated and undiluted.

LorAnn’s Marshmallow flavor is mostly water-soluble and works well in a variety of applications, such as ganaches, fudges, and icings. Also suitable for flavoring chocolate or chocolate coatings. A small amount of this highly concentrated extract goes a long way, making it a convenient option for adding bold Marshmallow flavor to your recipes.
Up to 4 times stronger than flavors based on water and alcohol.
When substituting these flavors for extracts, use ¼ to ½ teaspoon for 1 teaspoon of extract. These flavors don't diminish when exposed to high heat.
These flavors are suitable for fondant and marzipan. Due to the high concentration the structure of the fondant and marzipan will not changes when these flavors are added. Also suitable for chocolate, candy, cake, cookies, brownies and more.
For best results, we recommend the following guidelines for use:
- Wipe up spills quickly as prolonged contact with plastic and counter tops may cause damage.
- Do not use plastic measuring spoons and utensils.
- Avoid direct contact with skin when product is used full-strength. Some flavors such as cinnamon and almond are particularly potent.
- This flavor is water soluble.
